Privacy notice
Version 1.2-2026-10 · plain words, no fine print
In short: we only ask for your email, only to tell you about Kiatara's launch, only after you confirm it, and you can leave at any moment. No trackers, no ads, no selling, ever.
Who is responsible
Kiatara, based in Mexico, is responsible for your data (the "controller"). Write to love@kiatara.com for anything about your data.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- Dates: when you joined, when you confirmed, and the version of this notice you agreed to.
- A short-lived anti-abuse code: to stop robots, we keep a scrambled code made from your network address for at most 24 hours. It changes every day and cannot be turned back into your address. We never store your IP address on the waitlist.
We do not use cookies, analytics, pixels, fonts or scripts from other companies on this page.
Why, and on what legal basis
Only to email you about Kiatara's launch and the Founding Circle. The legal basis is your consent (EU/UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a); Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties). We use double opt-in: nothing is sent to you beyond one confirmation email until you tap the link in it.
Who helps us
- Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd.) hosts this website and its database, and sends our emails. It acts only on our instructions.
- Payments: if you choose to reserve, you pay on the secure page of Stripe. Your card details never touch this site. Stripe handles that payment under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
- If you never confirm: deleted automatically after 14 days.
- If you confirm: kept until you unsubscribe, or until the waitlist is no longer needed.
- If you unsubscribe: your address is deleted. We keep only an anonymous "do not contact" code, so that no one can add you back without you.
- Anti-abuse codes: 24 hours.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, object to or limit its use, and withdraw your consent at any time (in Mexico: your ARCO rights — access, rectification, cancellation and opposition). Every email has an unsubscribe link, or just write to love@kiatara.com. We answer within 20 days.
If you are not happy
Please tell us first — we will make it right. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the EU or UK, the authority where you live; in Mexico, the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno, which oversees personal data protection since March 2025.
Where your data lives
On Hostinger's servers. Because we are based in Mexico and you may live elsewhere, your data may be handled outside your country; we protect it the same way wherever it is.
